1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, soy, rice, oat)

Handful or more frozen fruit

1 rounded teaspoon psyllium husks

1-2 teaspoons sweetener – honey, stevia, sugar

1 teaspoon something extra healthy – chia seeds, flax meal, LSA

banana, mixed berries

mango, peaches



1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend, or use a tall cup/jug and blend with a stick blender (immersion blender).

2. If you use fresh fruit add a little crushed ice (8-10 cubes) to make it really cold and thick. The ice will dilute the flavour more than using frozen fruit.

3. If you like a particular mix of fruit why not freeze them together in snap lock bags so you can pull them out of the freezer and you’re all ready to make a smoothie.
