one pound of frozen or fresh green beans (don't use canned beans)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped, don't remove all the stems because they contain a lot of flavor)
1 tablespoon minced garlic (it's ok to add more)
freshly ground black pepper and sea salt (to taste)
1. Heat the olive oil on medium heat and add the garlic and green beans. Toss the beans gently until coated with the oil and garlic. Add salt and pepper. Reduce the heat and cover.
2. Cook about fifteen minutes, check a few times, because you will probably need to stir. Add the cilantro and cook about ten minutes longer or adjust time to your preferred degree of "doneness".
