chicken 1 kilo

garlic clove 4

ginger 1 inch piece

salt to taste

chilli flakes ¼ t spoon

lemon juice 1 t spoon

coriander powder 1 t spoon

cumin powder 1 t spoon

water 1 cup

for coating

plain flour 1 ½

baking powder 1 teaspoon

corn flour 2 tablespoons

1 chicken stock cube

oil for frying


1. Put all the chicken in a large pan, add lemon juice and all the spices, ginger and garlic and 1 cup of water. Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes. Once cooked, take chicken out of the pan and let it cool.

2. In a bowl add plain flour, corn flour and baking powder. Take couple of tablespoons of warm water and mix chicken stock cube, now add this to flour mix, get some more water and make a thick better. Dip the chicken in the better and make sure it's coated properly.

3. In a large pan/wok heat some oil and fry the chicken on medium heat until lightly golden.

4. Your crispy fried chicken is ready to serve.
